Businessman Wicknell Chivayo has dropped charges against his ex-wife Sonja and her mother, bringing an unexpected turn to a matter that had dominated public debate for weeks.
Speaking to the media outside court, Chivayo confirmed that he had decided to choose forgiveness over continued conflict. He described Sonja as the mother and grandmother of his children, stressing the importance of family bonds despite their differences.
